The Social Democratic Party in Nasarawa State is projecting a decisive win during the 2027 general elections. Abdullahi Ari, the party’s Nasarawa South Zonal Chairman, made this announcement during a meeting with Mohammed Adamu-Omadefu, the Keana Constituency representative in the State House of Assembly, held in Lafia.
Ari, accompanied by local government and ward officials, stated that the SDP has gained significant popularity and is prepared to secure leadership positions across the state. The visit aimed to solidify support for Adamu-Omadefu as he seeks a third legislative term, while also coordinating plans for the party’s future.
Highlighting the party’s governorship candidate, retired IGP Mohammed Abubakar-Adamu, Ari emphasized that his widespread grassroots appeal positions him for a successful 2027 campaign. He encouraged members to prioritize unity and collaborative efforts to ensure electoral dominance.
Adamu-Omadefu welcomed the support from party leadership and reiterated his dedication to the SDP’s objectives. He predicted a sweeping victory for the party, noting that his membership is aimed at bolstering the party’s growth. Ibrahim Ogiri, the SDP Chairman for Keana LGA, pledged full local cooperation to help achieve these goals, alongside other state party leaders who joined the delegation.
