Businessman Isaac Fayose has publicly condemned the Nigerian government for its failure to apprehend officials reportedly connected to the fraudulent Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC). This follows the recent arrest of Adeniyi Adeyemi, who had posed as the director-general of the non-existent organization.
In a video shared on Facebook, Fayose expressed suspicion regarding how Adeyemi navigated government structures without assistance. He pointed out that the suspect allegedly managed to secure an office within the secretariat and successfully opened an account with the Central Bank of Nigeria. Fayose also highlighted that the unauthorized agency was even allocated 24 billion naira in the national budget. He argued that it is highly unlikely Adeyemi could have achieved these actions alone and demanded accountability for the government staff who presumably helped facilitate the scam.
