Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, shared on Tuesday how he requested his wife, Suzzette, to pray that President Bola Tinubu would remain committed to the progress of the FCTA. Speaking at the launch of a water supply project in Bwari, Wike confirmed that the President has provided consistent backing to improve infrastructure in the capital.
Wike emphasized that effective governance centers on improving citizens’ lives. Reflecting on his past experience as a governor and minister, he highlighted that achieving results requires direct support from the country’s leadership. He stated that because his wife has a strong habit of prayer, he consistently asked for her intercession to ensure the President remains focused on the FCT’s needs.
The minister noted that this partnership has yielded positive results, citing the recent area council elections where residents voted for candidates supported by Tinubu, a trend he described as unprecedented in the history of the FCT. Wike pledged that his administration would continue working hard to ensure the public remains satisfied with the ongoing development.
