Hadi Sirika, the former Minister of Aviation, has defended the tenure of ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, asserting that the nation was in a prosperous condition when he stepped down. During a discussion on Arise Television, Sirika argued that both the economic and educational landscapes of Nigeria showed significant improvement under the previous administration.
Addressing claims that Buhari’s leadership led to current national difficulties, Sirika stated he preferred not to engage in such disputes. He maintained his stance that the former president performed exceptionally well regarding economic management. Although acknowledging he lacks formal training as an economist, Sirika based his perspective on his firsthand experience living in Nigeria during that period.
Sirika further noted that he would not critique the specific policy choices made by either Buhari or the incumbent, President Bola Tinubu, viewing such commentary as unfair. Ultimately, he reiterated his belief that the nation was thriving by the end of the Buhari administration.
