Omoyele Sowore, the 2027 presidential candidate for the African Action Congress, has announced plans to eliminate examination fees for the West African Examination Council and the National Examination Council if he wins the presidency. The candidate unveiled this proposal on Monday as part of a broader education strategy for the country.
Sowore aims to provide free education from the nursery level through university. He argued that a child’s academic journey should never be restricted by their family’s income, stating that schooling is a fundamental right rather than a privilege.
