President Bola Tinubu has instructed that road infrastructure be expanded across additional communities in the Federal Capital Territory. Speaking through Senate President Godswill Akpabio, the President officially opened the rehabilitated 16-kilometre Old Keffi Road, which connects the Kado Fish Market to the Dei-Dei Junction via Life Camp.
During the event, the President granted approval for the construction of the Kaba-Kagini-Zaudna Road after local residents presented banners detailing the poor state of their local access routes. Tinubu emphasized that his administration remains focused on extending development to neglected areas and eliminating the practice of leaving public projects unfinished.
The President highlighted that the completion of the Old Keffi Road demonstrates that his administration delivers on its promises. He noted that the project is intended to improve safety, ease traffic congestion, and stimulate economic activity across the region, which includes Kado, Saburi, Gwagwa, Karmo, Idu, and Dei-Dei.
FCT Minister Nyesom Wike was praised by the President for his role in accelerating infrastructure progress throughout the territory. Wike noted that the project was a response to direct requests from traders and residents. He also announced that work would begin immediately on the Kaba-Kagini-Zaudna road, as authorized by the President, in keeping with the goals of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
