AC Milan secures striker Goncalo Ramos from PSG in record £60m deal

AC Milan has finalized a club-record £60m transfer for PSG forward Goncalo Ramos, securing the Portugal international on a deal until 2031.

AC Milan has completed the signing of Portugal international Goncalo Ramos from Paris St-Germain for a fee estimated at £60m, marking a new club record for the Italian side. The 25-year-old forward, who gained global recognition for his 2022 World Cup hat-trick, has committed to a contract running through 2031.

This deal represents the first major acquisition for new head coach Ruben Amorim, who was appointed last month following the dismissal of Massimiliano Allegri. The transfer fee surpasses Milan’s previous record, established in 2019 when they signed Rafael Leao for £42m. Ramos departs PSG after a productive stint where he tallied 45 goals over three seasons.

As Milan looks to rebuild following a disappointing season that saw them fail to qualify for the Champions League, PSG is already adjusting its roster. Under the guidance of chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi and sporting adviser Luis Campos, the French champions are exploring potential moves for RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande. Further departures, including Lee Kang-in and Randal Kolo Muani, are expected as the club reshapes its squad.
