West Ham United have secured the signature of Swiss defender Nadine Riesen following her exit from Eintracht Frankfurt. The 26-year-old has committed to a three-year deal with the club, bringing experience from the Frauen-Bundesliga and the Women’s Champions League.
Riesen, who has earned 42 international caps and represented Switzerland at Euro 2025, is the fourth summer recruit for manager Rita Guarino. She joins fellow new additions Katie Zelem, Constance Picaud, and Laia Codina at the London-based side.
Reflecting on her move, Riesen expressed her enthusiasm for joining a club with such a rich history and a welcoming environment. She noted that the Women’s Super League offers an ideal stage for her continued professional growth and expressed confidence in Guarino’s vision for the squad’s future.
Guarino praised the defender’s athleticism, attacking instincts, and work ethic. She emphasized that Riesen’s proven track record with the Swiss national team will be a significant asset to West Ham’s current roster.
