APC Governors Assess Primary Results and Plan 2027 Strategy with Party Leadership

APC governors met in Abuja to discuss the outcomes of recent primaries and establish a strategic roadmap with National Chairman Netanwe Yilwatda for the 2027 election cycle.

Governors elected under the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform have evaluated the results of the party’s recent primary elections. Following a late-night session in Abuja, they committed to holding discussions with the party’s National Chairman, Netanwe Yilwatda, and other key figures.

Imo State Governor and Progressives Governors’ Forum (PGF) chairman, Hope Uzodimma, confirmed the meeting concluded early Tuesday. He noted that the forum, representing all serving APC governors, analyzed performances in recent primaries, the Ekiti governorship race, and various by-elections, highlighting the party’s strong results.

Uzodimma emphasized the group’s dedication to improving the welfare of citizens and addressing systemic democratic challenges. He stated that the governors are collaborating with party officials to prepare for the 2027 presidential and National Assembly polls. The objective is to provide consistent support to the APC leadership to ensure the party is fully equipped for future electoral cycles.

The gathering included state leaders from Ekiti, Zamfara, Taraba, Lagos, Sokoto, Kano, Kaduna, Gombe, Kebbi, Akwa Ibom, and Borno, among others.
