Governor Lawal Joins First State House Press Corps Presidential Dinner

Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal participated in the first State House Press Corps Presidential Dinner, hosted at the Presidential Villa in Abuja this Thursday. During the gathering, Governor Lawal performed the ceremony of naming President Bola Tinubu as the Grand Patron of the Press Corps.

This initiative aimed to foster better communication between the media and government leaders while celebrating outstanding presidential journalism. It offered a relaxed environment for officials and reporters to connect.

President Tinubu addressed the attendees, highlighting the vital role of the media in shaping the nation and strengthening democracy. He called on journalists to prioritize accuracy and professionalism in their work. Furthermore, he pledged that his government remains dedicated to upholding the constitutional rights of press freedom and expression.

The event featured several prominent figures, including First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, and Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila. Cabinet members from the health, finance, education, agriculture, and information sectors were also in attendance, joined by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Esther Walson-Jack.
