Four apprehended as military raids drug hub in Borno

Four men were arrested in Magumeri, Borno State, as Operation HADIN KAI troops raided a drug distribution center and seized a variety of illicit substances.

Soldiers belonging to Operation HADIN KAI have taken four individuals into custody following a targeted raid on a narcotics site in Magumeri, Borno State. The security operation, which took place at 1:08 p.m. on June 24, was led by the 109 Special Forces Battalion as part of a mission to break up criminal syndicates supporting regional violence.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama reported that the detained men are Alhaji Bukar, 30; Rawagana Abubakar, 19; Abubakar Mallam, 34; and Abbani Aisami, 21. During the search, authorities seized various illicit substances including cannabis, Erinmore, Tramadol, Hyxul tablets, and bottles of Exiplon syrup. Furthermore, the soldiers discovered containers of Diamond Rubber Solution and methylene chloride, a hazardous inhalant. Additional items confiscated during the raid included several mobile phones and miscellaneous accessories.

The suspects remain detained by the 109 Special Forces Battalion as investigations continue. This action highlights the ongoing commitment of military forces to intercept drug shipments that often provide funding and logistics for insurgent groups in the North-East.
