Ifeanyi Ejiofor Urges Ndigbo to Strengthen Homeland Security Amid National Instability

Ifeanyi Ejiofor warns that the Igbo people must urgently organize to protect their homeland as national security continues to decline across Nigeria.

Legal expert and commentator Sir Ifeanyi Ejiofor has issued a stern call for the Igbo people to take proactive steps in securing their territory. Highlighting a surge in criminal activity across Nigeria, Ejiofor warned that the safety of communities must be a primary concern.

In a recent public address, Ejiofor criticized political leaders for prioritizing election-related agendas over the nation’s deteriorating security environment. He pointed to the proliferation of bandits and terrorists who have entrenched themselves in rural areas, leading to frequent abductions, violence, and the destruction of agricultural livelihoods.

The lawyer emphasized that citizens can no longer rely solely on state intervention. He encouraged traditional institutions and community groups to organize and fortify their defenses using legal structures. Citing historical precedents, he reminded the public that failing to acknowledge clear warning signs of danger carries heavy consequences.

Ejiofor expressed concern regarding the erosion of public trust in security agencies, noting suspicions that some criminals act with impunity due to high-level protection. Ultimately, he advocated for unity, vigilance, and the development of resilient local strategies to ensure the protection of life and property in the face of existential threats.
