Fresh violence in Plateau claims one life and leaves three injured

Armed assailants killed one man in Ncha and wounded a pastor along with two others in Fubok, highlighting ongoing security concerns across Plateau State.

Armed attackers struck in Ncha, located within the Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, late Thursday night. They killed a man named Mr. Bulus, whose body was discovered discarded in a stream. Danjuma Dickson Auta of the Irigwe Development Association labeled the event an unprovoked act of aggression and urged authorities to track down those responsible.

Separately, a nighttime raid in Fubok village, situated in the Bokkos Local Government Area, resulted in injuries to a clergyman and two parishioners. Pastor Philibus and two congregants are currently undergoing medical care following the assault. Local residents noted that these violent outbreaks have become a frequent source of anxiety and displacement throughout the region.

The Plateau State Police Command could not be reached for comment regarding these incidents.
