Yan Diomande favors move to PSG over Liverpool transfer

Liverpool’s bid for Yan Diomande faces competition as the Ivory Coast international prefers a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.

Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande has indicated his preference for a move to Paris Saint-Germain, complicating Liverpool’s pursuit of the 19-year-old. While Liverpool recently saw an offer of £69m plus add-ons turned down by RB Leipzig, the German side is holding out for a valuation closer to £129m. Leipzig officials maintain they are under no obligation to sell and may attempt to secure Diomande with a contract extension.

PSG’s leadership, including Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Luis Enrique, is currently restructuring their squad following a successful season. The French giants may balance their recruitment budget through the potential sale of striker Goncalo Ramos to AC Milan for roughly £63m, alongside other possible departures like Lee Kang-in and Randal Kolo Muani. While Liverpool has also shown interest in PSG’s Bradley Barcola, the French champions are actively working to retain him. This transfer chase follows Liverpool’s recent signing of Victor Munoz from Osasuna for £34.5m, the club’s first major move under head coach Andoni Iraola.
