Speaking on the program Politics Today on Channels Television, Bwala argued that these critics are wasting their time rather than focusing on the issues that matter to the public.
His comments arrived in the wake of a letter sent by former U.S. President Donald Trump to President Tinubu. Dated July 6, 2026, the document features praise for Tinubu regarding his efforts to combat terrorism and enhance security for Christian communities across Nigeria. Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, officially released the statement regarding the correspondence.
Bwala stated that the opposition should be ignored while the government prioritizes addressing concerns regarding the economy, education, and security. He asserted that the administration has achieved significant milestones in these sectors. Furthermore, the aide highlighted that the strengthened partnership between the Nigerian and U.S. governments represents a historic development. He expressed disappointment that media discussions are not adequately covering this positive international cooperation, which he believes demonstrates clear national progress.
