England head coach Thomas Tuchel has expressed indifference regarding Argentina’s decision to wear navy blue kits during Wednesday’s World Cup semifinal match. The request, which was officially cleared by FIFA, marks a departure from Argentina’s standard light blue and white attire.
Argentina has primarily utilized their traditional stripes throughout the tournament, with the exception of a group-stage victory against Jordan. While some might view the color change as a strategic shift, Tuchel noted he would have acted similarly if he believed the alternative kit brought good fortune.
Regarding the switch, Tuchel remarked that he sees no issue if the decision stems from superstition. He stated that he would have made the exact same request if he felt a specific uniform could influence the outcome of the game.
