A tragic vehicle fire on the Enagi–Costain Duma Sharp Corner Road in Mokwa, Niger State, has left at least 15 people presumed dead. The incident took place during the early morning of Saturday, August 8, 2026, as passengers were reportedly unable to escape the burning vehicle.
Local witness Ahmed Ndagana reported that approximately 15 individuals perished in the blaze. Following the tragedy, the victims were interred in a mass burial according to Islamic tradition.
