Sunday Dare, the Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications to President Bola Tinubu, has rejected claims that Peter Obi is a political danger to the current leadership. During a recent episode of the Mic On Podcast, Dare emphasized that the administration remains centered on fulfilling its campaign promises.
Dare asserted that the government feels secure due to its policy achievements, stating that they are no longer concerned by the former Labour Party candidate. He suggested that while Obi may have been a factor in the past, the current administration’s track record has solidified its standing ahead of the 2027 elections.
Regarding the government’s approach, Dare claimed they have successfully analyzed Nigeria’s systemic issues and are actively executing corrective programs. He criticized Obi’s recent public critiques, labeling them as unfocused and lacking substance. Furthermore, Dare dismissed the possibility of a repeat of the 2023 election results in Lagos, declaring that Obi would not be able to defeat the President in the state again.
