Jannik Sinner solidified his status as the premier player in men’s tennis by overcoming Alexander Zverev to successfully defend his Wimbledon singles title. The Italian claimed victory at the All England Club with a hard-fought 6-7 (7-9) 7-6 (7-2) 6-3 6-4 win.

German player Alexander Zverev approached the match with significant momentum following his maiden Grand Slam triumph at the French Open. Notable spectators, including the Prince and Princess of Wales, Nicole Kidman, and Ben Stiller, were present to witness the high-stakes encounter.

This achievement marks the fifth Grand Slam trophy for Sinner and his first of the 2026 season. By retaining the title, he becomes the 10th man to accomplish a successful Wimbledon defense in the Open era, which started in 1968. Sinner currently holds a 10-match winning streak against Zverev.
