President Bola Tinubu has vowed to honor the trust placed in him by Nigerians, asserting that the current economic reforms are essential steps toward long-term national success. Represented by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during the inauguration of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, the President emphasized that his administration is steadfast in its duty to improve the nation despite the immediate hardships caused by policy shifts.
Addressing a broad coalition of stakeholders and supporters, Tinubu highlighted that the sacrifices currently required of citizens are necessary to establish a stable foundation for future generations. He encouraged members of the new movement to engage with communities directly, explaining the merits of government programs to foster deeper public understanding and democratic participation.
The President stressed that national greatness stems from collective resilience and the ability to confront challenges head-on. He called for unity, noting that individual and partisan interests should not overshadow the country’s shared goals. Acknowledging the role of grassroots efforts, he praised High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo, and other organizers for their commitment to supporting the administration’s vision.
Representing the movement, Kestin Pondi of Tantita Security Services described the event as the start of a comprehensive campaign to promote the administration’s agenda. He urged supporters to maintain discipline and peace, arguing that sustained engagement at the local level is the key to achieving the government’s developmental objectives and strengthening democracy across Nigeria.
