During the Soundcity Awards, shortly after accepting a trophy with his band, Peter dedicated the honor to his fans, God, and the mother of his child. This decision sparked a major conflict with his brothers, Jude and Paul. Peter explained that they believed the public revelation would damage their professional reputation.
The singer grew emotional as he described the extreme pressure he faced. He alleged that his brothers demanded Lola have an abortion. According to Peter, they went as far as creating a fake email to suggest the child was not his and to portray Lola as someone attempting to manipulate him into the relationship.
