Osun APC Leader Rejects Claims of Tinubu Abandoning Candidate Oyebamiji

APC chieftain Olatunbosun Oyintiloye has dismissed reports claiming President Tinubu and Adegboyega Oyetola have abandoned party candidate Bola Oyebamiji ahead of the 2026 Osun governorship election.

Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) figure in Osun State, has rejected rumors suggesting that President Bola Tinubu and Minister Adegboyega Oyetola have withdrawn their support for the party’s governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji. Speaking during a campaign event in Ibokun on Sunday, Oyintiloye clarified that these claims are fabricated by opposition groups intending to sow discord within the party.

He emphasized that both President Tinubu and Minister Oyetola are actively guiding the campaign and remain dedicated to securing an APC victory in the upcoming August 15, 2026, election. Oyintiloye asserted that the party is cohesive and well-supported by key figures such as Chief Bisi Akande and Senator Ajibola Basiru. He encouraged party members to ignore distracting propaganda and focus on grassroots engagement.

Furthermore, the APC chieftain urged the party faithful to promote their development platform while warning the opposition against engaging in intimidation or violence. He stated that electoral success depends on direct voter interaction rather than online rhetoric, insisting that a peaceful and orderly atmosphere is essential for a legitimate democratic outcome.
