The Opta supercomputer has analyzed the upcoming 2026/27 LaLiga season to project the eventual champion, the top five clubs, and those likely to face relegation. The season is scheduled to kick off on August 15, 2026, starting with a match between Deportivo Alaves and Getafe CF at 7:30 pm local time.

Barcelona enters the season as the favorite to retain their crown with a 45.6% probability of repeating their recent success. Real Madrid, now managed by Jose Mourinho, holds a 31.0% chance of securing the trophy. Rounding out the top five, Atletico Madrid is projected at 8.6%, Villarreal at 3.3%, and Real Betis at 2.1%. At the other end of the table, the predictive model suggests that Getafe, Alaves, and Osasuna are at the highest risk of being relegated.
