Oleksandr Usyk, the Ukrainian professional boxer, has expressed his belief that Anthony Joshua will defeat Tyson Fury in their anticipated upcoming match. Usyk shared this sentiment following Joshua’s impressive knockout win against Kristian Prenga during the previous weekend.
During an interview with TalkSport, the two-time undisputed champion praised Joshua, declaring that AJ has made a successful return to form. Usyk further predicted that Joshua is poised to secure a knockout victory against his long-time rival, Fury. He emphasized that Joshua is a contender for the undisputed title and praised the quality of his recent performance, specifically noting the effectiveness of his uppercut.
Addressing Fury, whom he referred to by the nickname ‘Greedy Belly,’ Usyk suggested that Joshua will definitively win by knockout when the two finally meet. Joshua and Fury are currently being positioned for a high-profile heavyweight showdown later this year. Both athletes recently completed successful warm-up matches, with Fury defeating Mariusz Wach in Thailand, while Joshua claimed his victory over Prenga in Jeddah.
