Roger Ricort, the sporting director for OGC Nice, has confirmed that striker Terem Moffi is set to permanently exit the club this summer. The Nigerian international previously spent the latter portion of last season on loan with Portuguese side FC Porto.
Moffi initially sought an exit from Nice after he and teammate Jeremie Boga faced aggression from club supporters following a loss to Lorient last November. While Boga successfully secured a permanent transfer to Juventus in January, Moffi returned to Nice after Porto declined to exercise his 8 million euro purchase option.
Although the 27-year-old began pre-season training on Wednesday, Ricort maintains that the striker is not part of the club’s long-term plans. Ricort stated that the player is currently on their transfer list and expected to depart the Allianz Riviera before the window closes, emphasizing that while they respect his professional abilities, he has no future playing for Nice.
