The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rasidi Ladoja, has issued a stern directive to Mogajis, emphasizing their responsibility for maintaining order within their respective compounds. The monarch stated that these leaders will now be directly answerable for any security failures that occur in their jurisdictions.
This announcement followed the formal installation of four new Mogajis: Olusegun Emmanuel Ogunyemi of Ogunwelu compound, Akeem Olalekan Alade of Oju-Abere compound, Aderinto Adesoji of Sangodeyi Ikuola compound, and Adewale Idowu Akanmu Abonde of Abonde compound.
Represented by the Ekerin Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Akeem Mobolaji Adewoyin, the Olubadan congratulated the appointees while urging them to serve as honorable representatives of the throne. He explicitly warned them to distance themselves from criminal conduct, including land grabbing, substance abuse, and corruption, as such behavior would not be tolerated.
