Nottingham Forest to face Leeds in EFL Cup second round

Nottingham Forest will meet Leeds in the Carabao Cup second round, marking the only all-Premier League tie of the stage.

Nottingham Forest, a club that has secured the Carabao Cup trophy four times, is set to play Leeds in the second round of the tournament. This matchup stands out as the only contest featuring two Premier League teams in this stage of the draw.

Elsewhere, Chelsea will host League One outfit Luton at Stamford Bridge, and Tottenham are scheduled to play Championship side Charlton. Everton manager David Moyes is heading back to Preston North End, the club where his career in management began.

Newcastle have been drawn against West Brom, while Fulham will square off against AFC Wimbledon. Other fixtures include Brentford visiting Birmingham City and Ipswich facing Leicester. West Ham, fresh off a win against Portsmouth, will make the trip to Southampton.

Matches are scheduled to be played during the week of August 24. Clubs currently competing in European tournaments are exempt from this round and will join the competition in the third stage.
