Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the African Democratic Congress gubernatorial contender in Lagos State, is mourning the death of his mother, Nkechi Stella Rhodes-Vivour, born Waboso.
On Monday, Rhodes-Vivour shared the news via his X account. He expressed deep sorrow while acknowledging his gratitude for her meaningful and accomplished life. Describing her as the family’s bedrock, he highlighted her unwavering dedication to her duties as a spouse, parent, and grandmother.
In his tribute, he stated: “With heavy hearts yet thankful to God for a life well lived, we share the news of Nkechi Stella Rhodes-Vivour’s passing. She was an affectionate wife, a dedicated mother, and a grandmother who embodied love. She will be greatly missed, and we pray for her soul to rest in peace. Burial details will be provided soon.”
The family also issued a memorial statement honoring her character. They remembered her as a compassionate, warm, and committed individual whose influence left an enduring impact on those she encountered.
