The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has claimed that President Bola Tinubu’s government is burdened by extensive policy failures. Bolaji Abdullahi, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, stated that the current administration has underperformed across critical sectors, including security, the economy, education, and healthcare.
In a statement shared on X, Abdullahi argued that the government demonstrates contempt toward its citizens, both those residing in Nigeria and those who have emigrated seeking improved prospects. He expressed frustration at the government’s attempts to portray life as better domestically than abroad, asserting that such claims lack credibility.
The party challenged the administration to prioritize job creation, economic recovery, and national safety before criticizing citizens who pursued opportunities internationally. Providing statistical context, the ADC noted that in 2025, Nigeria recorded US$31.5 billion in oil export revenue, while diaspora remittances reached US$21.8 billion.
