Neymar Turns To “Miracle Doctor” As Final World Cup Dream Hangs In The Balance
Brazilian football icon Neymar is reportedly seeking the help of a famed “miracle doctor” in a desperate attempt to conquer his persistent injury struggles and resurrect his fading World Cup ambitions.
The 33-year-old forward has endured a nightmare spell with injuries, missing a staggering 89 matches since his move to Saudi club Al Hilal in 2023 and his return to boyhood side Santos earlier this year. The extended layoffs have severely limited his impact, despite contributing 11 goals and four assists last season as Santos narrowly escaped relegation.
In a bold move to boost his chances of featuring at what could be his final FIFA World Cup, Neymar is said to be turning to renowned Brazilian physiotherapist Eduardo Santos — widely nicknamed “Dr Miracle” for his unconventional recovery techniques.
The specialist has previously worked with top stars such as Philippe Coutinho and Matheus Cunha, helping them accelerate their return from serious injuries. According to ESPN, Santos is expected to begin treating Neymar after the forward undergoes a partial arthroscopic meniscectomy on his left knee.
Despite his recent struggles, Neymar remains Brazil’s all-time leading goal scorer, having surpassed Pelé’s record in September 2023. He has recorded 79 goals in 128 appearances for the Seleção but is yet to feature prominently in Carlo Ancelotti’s new tactical plans for the national side.
