Cameroon goalkeeper André Onana has completed a loan move from Manchester United to Turkish side Trabzonspor.

The 29-year-old leaves Old Trafford following the arrival of Belgian shot-stopper Senne Lammens, which saw him fall further down the pecking order.

Trabzonspor confirmed the transfer in a statement, saying the loan will run until the end of the 2025–26 season and comes at no cost to the Turkish club.

“An agreement has been reached with Manchester United for the temporary transfer of footballer André Onana to our club, free of charge, for the 2025–2026 football season,” the statement read.

According to the Daily Mail, the move will significantly increase Onana’s earnings, with the goalkeeper set to receive a signing bonus and performance-related incentives that will nearly double his salary.

Manchester United will not receive a loan fee, and Trabzonspor did not secure an option to make the deal permanent when it expires on June 30, 2026.
