Senator Ned Nwoko, representing the APC in Delta, has announced his intention to challenge a Federal High Court judgment that dismissed his legal action against Ifeanyi Okowa’s nomination as a senatorial candidate. His legal representatives released a statement on Monday in Abuja labeling the court’s recent ruling as regrettable.
Nwoko emphasized that the suit was struck out rather than dismissed, fueling his belief that the Court of Appeal will reverse the outcome. The senator stated that his lawyers have been directed to initiate the appeal process without delay, as he believes the case has not yet been addressed based on its actual merits.
The senator took issue with the court’s decision to revoke an earlier order that allowed him to amend his legal documents. He argued that this shift by the court serves as an unjustified hurdle designed to block the case during its early phase. Nwoko remains steadfast in his mission to see the case heard thoroughly, noting his dedication to fairness, transparency, and the advancement of Delta State.
