Soldiers under the banner of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have ramped up their tactical strikes throughout the North-West, resulting in the death of two bandits and the detention of seven individuals accused of aiding terror groups. These actions effectively disrupted criminal operations in Kaduna and Zamfara states.
According to an operational update released on Sunday, the 4 Demonstration Battalion successfully neutralized two outlaws in the Lere community within the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State. During this mission, soldiers recovered a collection of stolen cattle, a firearm, and ammunition.
In Zamfara State, security forces conducted a search operation in Birnin Magaji that led to the capture of four suspects linked to the well-known bandit leader Gwaska Dan Karami. The detainees were identified as Alhaji Yahya Hoji, Abdullahi Dan Tsabaro, Kabiru Dan Gulgule, and Kalala. Furthermore, three individuals suspected of involvement with terrorist networks were detained while undergoing screening at the Gusau International Airport.
The military high command remains dedicated to pursuing these criminal elements and has called upon the local population to assist the ongoing security efforts aimed at stabilizing the region.
