Military forces apprehend logistics supplier and seize military gear in Zamfara

Troops in Zamfara apprehended a suspected terrorist logistics supplier, seizing 150 pairs of combat boots and other tactical equipment during a routine vehicle search.

Soldiers from Sector II of Operation FANSAN YAMMA successfully detained a person suspected of providing logistics to terrorist organizations in Zamfara. The arrest occurred this past Wednesday during a routine vehicle inspection on the Sokoto-Gusau Road.

During the search of a Honda Civic, troops located a significant stash of tactical supplies. The haul included 150 pairs of combat boots, a military beret, a belt, a tear gas canister, three jackknives, and three electric shockers. Additionally, officers seized two Android phones, an iPad, and a digital watch for further intelligence analysis.

Military officials stated that this interception is a significant success in disrupting the supply chains that fuel banditry and terrorism in the North-West region. By cutting off access to these materials, the army aims to degrade the operational strength of criminal groups. The suspect remains in military detention for questioning, and the seized items are being held as evidence. The operation highlights the success of increased checkpoints in preventing militants from securing necessary resources.
