The club had originally acquired the 32-year-old from Brentford in July 2025. Speaking via the official club website, Arteta shared his gratitude for the player’s contributions and his role in the team’s successes. The manager noted that while he found the decision tough, he recognizes that the player is at a point in his professional life where he needs to prioritize consistent game time to achieve his personal aspirations. During the previous season, Norgaard featured in 20 matches across all tournaments as Arsenal successfully secured the Premier League title.
