British fighter Michael ‘Venom’ Page is set to compete against Uzbekistan’s Nursulton Ruziboev in a middleweight contest at the UFC Paris event on September 5. Page, aged 39, enters the matchup following a decision victory over Sam Patterson in March.
Since joining the UFC in 2023 after a successful tenure at Bellator, Page has secured four victories across his five appearances. Despite his record, he has previously expressed dissatisfaction regarding the level of his recent opponents. His upcoming opponent, 32-year-old Ruziboev, holds the 15th spot in the middleweight rankings and enters the cage on a three-fight winning streak.
This event marks a return to the middleweight division for the London-based Page. He has stated his intention to alternate between weight classes to increase his available options for future matchups, which include a potential fight against former champion Leon Edwards. The event at the Accor Arena will also feature additional British talent, including Modestas Bukauskas facing Oumar Sy and Kurtis Campbell taking on Trevor Peek.
