Human rights attorney Liborous Oshoma has stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has a clear chance to demonstrate it does not harbor individuals with forged academic credentials regarding the case of former Minister of Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji. Oshoma voiced this sentiment during an appearance on the Channels Television program Politics Today.
This call to action follows the former minister’s arrest at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. Oshoma argued that the APC must prioritize legal action to clear its reputation, noting that Nnaji is responsible for his own predicament. He cited an Igbo proverb to illustrate that the former official created his own problems. Additionally, Oshoma questioned the validity of the background check process used prior to Nnaji’s ministerial appointment and warned President Bola Tinubu against allowing political influence to shield the suspect from accountability.
