The Lagos State Government has launched a recruitment campaign for clinical staff to work in its 29 secondary healthcare centers. This move aims to bolster medical service delivery and resolve staffing gaps throughout the state health system.
The Lagos State Health Service Commission confirmed on Monday that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu authorized the hiring process to occupy open roles within government-run general hospitals. This program supports the administration’s THEMES Agenda and demonstrates a dedication to providing residents with better healthcare access.
Officials stated that the initiative is intended to counteract the effects of brain drain in the medical field and increase the operational capabilities of public facilities. Available positions include consultants across multiple specialties, medical officers, pharmacists, nursing officers, laboratory scientists, and various other clinical roles.
The application period opened on Monday, July 13, 2026, and closes on Friday, July 24, 2026. Prospective candidates must apply via the commission’s official online portal. Selected individuals will be invited for a computer-based examination and an interview. The commission emphasized that the entire process is free, warning the public against falling for fraudulent payment solicitations.
