The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has introduced a new toll-free hotline, 3367, to streamline the reporting of traffic emergencies and boost response times throughout the state. This system replaces the agency’s previous long-form contact number with a more efficient, technology-focused alternative.
Adebayo Taofiq, the agency’s spokesperson, explained that the platform allows road users to report issues such as vehicle breakdowns, accidents, disabled tankers, and traffic blockages. Furthermore, the public is encouraged to use this line to provide feedback on the conduct and professionalism of LASTMA personnel, fostering greater transparency within the organization.
To ensure inclusivity, operators are available to assist callers in English, Yoruba, and Pidgin. General Manager Olalekan Bakare-Oki emphasized that the initiative is part of a broader commitment to modernize traffic management in Lagos. He noted that as the city continues to expand, leveraging digital tools is essential for maintaining safety and efficiency on the roads. All reports will be handled with confidentiality and forwarded to the relevant operational teams for swift intervention.
