Lagos APC Reaffirms Support for President Tinubu, Vows to Thwart Sabotage

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has declared that Nigeria will overcome its current security trials, asserting that those orchestrating acts of sabotage are destined to fail.

The party’s spokesman, Mr. Seye Oladejo, in a statement issued on Friday, urged citizens to remain calm and united in the face of recent attacks, expressing unwavering confidence in the security measures implemented by President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

“This too shall pass. Nigeria has survived recessions, insurgencies, and political treachery. We are certain the nation will once again emerge stronger,” Oladejo stated.

He highlighted what he termed the administration’s “concrete actions,” including the declaration of a state of emergency on security and the approval to recruit 50,000 police personnel, as evidence of its resolve.

“These are not cosmetic gestures. These are far-reaching actions by a president who refuses to surrender one inch of the country to terrorists or their sponsors,” Oladejo emphasized.

The spokesman accused opposition parties of exploiting the situation by “amplifying fear” and seeking foreign intervention to undermine the government. He claimed that some political actors, threatened by the nation’s progress, were issuing “prophecies of unrest” coinciding with coordinated attacks.

“The question Nigerians are asking is, who benefits when the country appears ungovernable? Their time is almost up,” he said.

Addressing economic hardships, the APC acknowledged public discomfort but framed it as a necessary transitional phase resulting from bold reforms aimed at dismantling “subsidy cartels” and “forex cabals.”

Oladejo concluded with a rallying call for national perseverance, stating, “The storm is temporary, the discomfort is transitional. Nigeria’s destiny is secure under a capable and courageous leader. The saboteurs will fail, and Nigeria will rise stronger.”
