The Kogi State Vigilante Service has apprehended two suspected kidnappers in the Dekina Local Government Area. The suspects, identified as Umoru Garuba and Salifu Ademu, were arrested in the Ibobo area of Abocho at 2 PM on October 21, 2024. Villagers alerted the authorities upon spotting the suspects, leading to a rapid response from the vigilante team, which was patrolling nearby. camilla araujo erome The team successfully detained the suspects, who later confessed to their involvement in the kidnapping. After their arrest, the suspects were handed over to the Quick Response Unit (QRU) in Anyigba for further investigation and prosecution. S.O. Saka, the spokesperson for the vigilante service, confirmed the arrest on Tuesday and stated that authorities are continuing to investigate the case to ensure justice is served and to improve community safety.
