A group of 55 All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirants in Kaduna State has voiced frustration over perceived neglect by the party and the state administration. These individuals previously withdrew from their respective primary races to support party cohesion, expecting their cooperation to be acknowledged. Operating as the Kaduna State House of Assembly APC Aspirants Forum 2026, the members stated they made these sacrifices believing in fair treatment for loyalists.
Led by chairman Godwin Luka and secretary Tahir Gambo Abubakar, the group reported that their attempts to engage with state government officials and party leadership have been ignored. They noted a concerning trend where those who once opposed the party are now receiving appointments, while those who followed leadership directives find themselves excluded from political engagement.
The forum clarified that they are not seeking special favors, but rather equity for the sacrifices made to strengthen the party. They cautioned that continued disregard for their contributions could dampen the morale of supporters as the 2027 election cycle approaches. Despite their current grievances, the group reiterated their support for Governor Uba Sani and urged for immediate dialogue to address these tensions. As of now, neither the state government nor the APC leadership in Kaduna has provided an official statement regarding these claims.
