Jeremy Clarkson confirms remission from prostate cancer

Jeremy Clarkson has announced he is officially in remission from an aggressive form of prostate cancer, crediting early testing for his recovery and urging others to get checked.

Television personality Jeremy Clarkson has declared he is in remission from prostate cancer, just days after revealing his diagnosis. During the latest installment of Clarkson’s Farm, the presenter explained he had been fighting an aggressive form of the disease since 2025.

Speaking with the Times, Clarkson noted that medical tests conducted two months ago showed the cancer was no longer present. He expressed deep relief, acknowledging that the aggressive nature of the illness could have easily spread to other organs like the pancreas. The 66-year-old attributed his survival to early detection, emphasizing the importance of routine screening. He urged other men to seek testing to avoid becoming part of the 12,000 annual UK deaths attributed to the disease.

Clarkson, who underwent surgery to remove part of his prostate, remains under monitoring and receives regular blood tests. Although there is a 40% probability of the cancer returning, he maintains an optimistic outlook. His health journey was a central element of the fifth season of his show, which concluded with him hospitalized. This recent health scare followed a heart procedure in late 2024, during which he was fitted with two stents. Clarkson has since discussed his experience with other public figures who have faced similar diagnoses, including former Prime Minister Lord David Cameron.
