Nigerian forward James Bello has finalized a loan agreement to play for the Czech team MFK Karvina for the duration of the upcoming season. The 21-year-old moves from Viktoria Plzen, where he previously found it difficult to secure a spot in the starting lineup, having only logged two league starts last year.
During his time at Viktoria Plzen, Bello also made two appearances in the MOL Cup, where he managed to net one goal. The club’s sports director, Lubomír Vlk, expressed optimism about the signing, highlighting the player’s impressive speed and developmental potential, noting that he expects Bello to make a meaningful impact on the squad.
Bello originally signed with Viktoria Plzen in 2023 after being recruited from the Right2Win Academy in Nigeria. Before moving to the professional level, he spent time honing his skills within the Viktoria Plzen youth system.
