Isaac Fayose asserts freedom to switch support from Peter Obi

Isaac Fayose, brother of former Governor Ayodele Fayose, has defended his right to switch political allegiances, noting that his past support for Peter Obi is not guaranteed.

Isaac Fayose, the sibling of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, has addressed the public criticism sparked by a video of him praying alongside Seyi Tinubu. Fayose stated that his endorsement of Peter Obi is not permanent and could be revoked at his discretion.

Addressing the controversy on Facebook, Fayose defended his political autonomy. He questioned whether Peter Obi had acknowledged his financial contributions to the 2023 presidential campaign. Furthermore, the commentator expressed open admiration for President Bola Tinubu and his son, noting his ethnic background as a Yoruba man as a factor in his affinity for them.

This declaration follows his recent claims that interacting with APC figures like Seyi Tinubu does not automatically signal his departure from supporting Peter Obi.
