IPOB Claims Final Conflict Before Biafran Sovereignty Following Expulsion of Edoziem-led DOS

IPOB has labeled the expulsion of the Chika Edoziem-led Directorate of State as the final decisive battle required to secure the emergence of a Biafran state, accusing local politicians and former members of colluding with the Nigerian government.

The Indigenous People of Biafra, commonly known as IPOB, has informed its base that they are currently facing their ultimate internal challenge before the realization of a sovereign Biafran state. This message was circulated in an internal memo authored by group representative Emma Powerful, titled to emphasize the struggle for the movement’s survival.

The document claims that the recently dissolved third administration of the Directorate of State, formerly headed by Chika Edoziem, attempted to seize control of the organization for the benefit of the Nigerian government. Furthermore, the memo alleges that Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo and attorney Ifeanyi Ejiofor conspired against IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu to prevent his liberation.

The organization asserts that Kanu correctly predicted the failure and betrayal of the Kuje-appointed administration. According to the memo, individuals like Chinasa Nworu and Ifeanyi Ejiofor acted as agents for external forces, leading to the group’s internal turmoil. Despite these setbacks, IPOB maintains that the original Directorate of State remains intact after purging these compromised elements.

IPOB also accused Governor Soludo and other South-East governors of actively working to undermine Kanu’s influence. The memo alleges these political figures utilized state funds and manipulated narratives to discredit the leader, aiming to force him to abandon the Biafran cause. The movement also dismissed government claims regarding regional instability, stating these reports are fabricated to justify keeping Kanu detained and to weaken the Eastern Security Network.

In conclusion, the memo calls for absolute loyalty to Nnamdi Kanu while urging members to dismiss the influence of the expelled officials. The group expresses confidence that these internal disputes are the final hurdles to clear before the eventual success of the movement.
