Forward Folashade Ijamilusi has checked into the team base at Hotel Marriott in Casablanca, Morocco, according to recent reports. Her arrival brings the current count of Super Falcons players in camp to 23 as the squad prepares for the upcoming 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Ijamilusi, who plays for Liaoning Shenyang Shenbei Hefeng in China, was instrumental during the 2024 tournament. The former Edo Queens attacker notably scored two goals during that run, including one during the 3-2 championship victory against Morocco’s Atlas Lionesses.
Only two members of the squad remain absent: midfielder Deborah Abiodun and forward Gift Monday. Both players faced travel setbacks after their flight from the United States was grounded due to mechanical problems. They are anticipated to join the rest of the team this Wednesday. The Super Falcons are scheduled to relocate from Casablanca to Rabat on Friday to prepare for their group stage fixtures.
