FCCPC Closes Ochacho Real Estate and TI’Bilon Offices in Abuja

The FCCPC has closed the Abuja offices of Ochacho Real Estate and TI’Bilon Construction due to unresolved allegations of consumer exploitation and failure to deliver housing units.

The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has shuttered the Abuja offices of Ochacho Real Estate and TI’Bilon Construction and Facility Management Company.

This enforcement measure stems from accusations of consumer mistreatment and a failure to follow regulatory requirements.

According to an official update from the agency, the decision to lock the premises was triggered by the companies’ ongoing disregard for formal warnings.

These firms were previously instructed to deliver housing units to buyers who had completed their payments but were never given possession of their property.

The regulator stated that these offices will stay closed until the developers satisfy their obligations to the impacted clients. This intervention is based on Section 150(4) of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act of 2018, which authorizes the commission to act against businesses that violate regulatory standards.
