Nigeria’s U-20 women’s football team, the Falconets, are set to learn their opponents for the upcoming 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup this Friday.
The official draw ceremony will take place in the City of Łódź and will be streamed live via FIFA’s digital platforms.
A total of 24 nations have qualified for this tournament.
The matches are slated to occur in four Polish cities: Bielsko-Biała, Katowice, Łódź, and Sosnowiec. Former player and current Poland coach Nina Patalon, alongside French legend Laura Georges, will assist in conducting the draw.
The Falconets secured their place in the competition with a 3-2 aggregate victory against Malawi’s Young Scorchers.
They enter the tournament aiming to claim their inaugural U-20 World Cup title. Poland is scheduled to host the event between September 5 and September 27.
