Dino Melaye, a former Senator representing Kogi West, recently issued a stark warning to President Bola Tinubu concerning the upcoming 2027 presidential election. The African Democratic Congress leader suggested that the President could face a sudden end similar to the late military dictator, Sani Abacha.
Melaye referenced the historical period when Abacha held complete control over the nation’s political landscape, noting that all five registered political parties had endorsed him as he prepared to transition into a civilian leader. Despite this overwhelming support, Melaye pointed out that the dictator died unexpectedly before he could solidify his rule.
Sharing his thoughts on the social media platform X, the former lawmaker emphasized that Tinubu fails to acknowledge the influence of divine intervention in human affairs. He stated that when destiny intervenes, there is no way to avoid it, adding that the power of God remains constant and active in the current political climate.
